• Trim the wick to no more than ¼ inch before lighting to avoid dark smoke
• Do not allow wick trimmings to accumulate in the wax pool
• For the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface (min. 2–3 hours) to prevent tunnelling
• Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface
• Do not hold the candle after it is lit, as the container may be hot
